Monument on Vraca proves that 'Chetniks in ties' are more dangerous than those in uniform

(Patria) - The president of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of BiH, Đorđe Radanović, presented to the public an aerial shot of Vraca to show us that the future „revisionist“ monument will be on the territory of the RS and will not threaten the existing memorial. From the shot, as he says, it can be seen that it will be erected where there is now low vegetation and forest. The noise raised in the RS around the initiative to build a monument that, among other things, aims to show that „Serbs are the greatest victims of the war in BiH“ gives credence to Srđan Puhalo, who once wrote: „Realistically, Chetniks in uniforms are less dangerous than Chetniks in ties.“

„Chetniks in ties“ have never really cared about the Serbs who decided to stay in their city. They did not mind that „Chetniks in uniforms“ were killing them from Vraca and other hills, resentful because they could not militarily conquer Sarajevo. For the murderers of 1,601 children in Sarajevo, the Serbs who remained in the capital of BiH were merely collateral damage, just as they are today for the alleged protector of their rights, Radanović, who apparently does not find it problematic that the tribute on Vraca will also honor the murderers of Serbs in Sarajevo.

Here, of course, we do not mean members of the Army of BiH and criminal groups from war-besieged Sarajevo who did commit crimes for which there is no justification. It is true that, despite a certain number of court proceedings, the authorities in Sarajevo never fully dealt with them, just as it is a disgrace that there was no strength to go further than a bow to the victims at Kazani.

It is sad that politics are still not ready to take stronger steps on the path of reconciliation, but it is morbid to support the construction of a monument to „murderers and criminals“ that can only further inflame national tensions. The greatest victims will again be the Serbs, those who are not and do not agree to be equated with Chetniks. Dragan Bursać is right when he asks whether the new project of Puhalo's „Chetniks in ties“ will list the name of Slaviša Vajner Čiča alongside his murderers.

Đorđe Radanović should ask himself whether it is worth risking being compared one day to war criminal Momčilo Krajišnik and other „tie-wearers“ who organized the exodus of Serbs from Sarajevo after Dayton. „Fools,“ as the Balkan executioner Slobodan Milošević called the entire Serbian delegation from BiH in Dayton, treated their personal defeats on the backs of the suffering people. From the hated Sarajevo, where their descendants and sycophants today receive large salaries, they pushed 120,000 Serbs into their „more Serbian“ Sarajevo. While they lounge in residential villas built with public money, refugees cleared low vegetation and scrub, the very place where their soul-savers now want to build a monument.

Political elites need a new point of conflict to stay in power. They do not care that the victims of the new revisionist project will objectively again be the Serbs, whom no one asks whether they want to be Chetniks. By building a monument on Vraca, radicalized politicians and criminals want to once again close the doors of Sarajevo to all honorable and honest Serbs who have realized that they are not there like „pigs in Tehran.“ It is dangerous for „Chetniks in ties“ who have not secured a livelihood for their own people in the promised land to seek it in Sarajevo. Hungry mouths are again being fed the idea to „gnaw on“ monuments that will one day become overgrown with thorns, because those who advocate for it are not interested in the victims.
