Rijeka was hit last night by a severe thunderstorm accompanied by hail. The storm began around 7 p.m., and heavy rain continued to fall through the night. The large amount of rain that fell caused flash floods and flooded manholes, reports the Patria news agency.
Hail also fell across Rijeka, and many residents captured the storm with their cameras. Photographs by Denis Fleg show the thunderstorm, which Rijeka residents described on Facebook as one of the most intense in the last ten years, writes Index.
