On Saturday, October 25, the state championship of the Special Olympics Zenica 2014 (table tennis discipline) will be organized at the Bilimišće Sports Hall starting at 10:00 AM, writes the BH News Agency Patria.
The goal of this competition is to promote the abilities and possibilities of persons with disabilities, and their equal inclusion in the local community in accordance with Article 30 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
The Public Institution School for Upbringing, Education and Rehabilitation of Persons with Psychophysical Development Difficulties Zenica and OMS Zenica are hosting the Special Olympics for the fifth time, with sports clubs, schools, institutions, and centers for persons with special needs participating. This year, around 300 participants from 15 teams are expected.
The opening of the Special Olympics is at 10:00 AM with a cultural and entertainment program, the competition will last until 1:30 PM, when the winners will be announced and medals awarded.
