Spahić: From one embassy, they asked Nikšić and Šteta not to make me minister

- That is more a question for Adnan Šteta, president of the SDP Canton Committee, and probably the party president Nermin Nikšić. I certainly respect the party bodies that made such a decision. However, there is an inconsistency and a kind of orchestration that the international factor should be decisive in preventing my name from being in the candidacy for the position of Minister of Health - Spahić said for BHRT.

He was asked where he got the information that the international factor does not want him.

- Both the president of the SDP Canton Committee and the president of the SDP told me - said Spahić.

Then Spahić also answered the question why he would be of interest to some international factor.

- That is a question for Nikšić. Ademir Spahić has no ongoing proceedings, neither criminal nor any reports. And I would leave it to Mr. Nikšić to say which international factor mentioned my name and said it was not good for me to be a candidate for Minister of Health - he stated.

He said he had the support of his party colleagues.

- I was told that because of that international factor, it would not be good for the SDP's rating for me to be proposed as Minister of Health - he claims.

Spahić once again reiterated that he is surprised by the claim that some "high-ranking officials of a serious embassy say that a certain Ademir Spahić should not be there, without any explanation why".

He said that when he asked why that was the case, he was told "we don't know either".

- But I publicly call on all relevant judicial institutions and all those officials to say why Ademir Spahić is a problem. - he stated.
