The Bosnia and Herzegovina homeless football team has qualified for the quarterfinals of the 14th Homeless Football World Cup in Glasgow, following yesterday's victories against Italy 9:0 and Namibia 8:4. Our team plays today in the quarterfinals at 1:30 PM against the Chile national team, reports the Patria agency.
The day before, three wins were achieved in three matches, against Russia on penalties 6:5 (5:5), against Poland 5:3 and Lithuania 14:5.
- It was a tough day, but we have reasons to celebrate. We entered the quarterfinals and fulfilled our goal. Any further success is just another reason to be happy and satisfied. The atmosphere in the team is excellent, and we hope for victories in the continuation of the competition. We thank everyone who helped, Emmaus and our team on this journey - said Elmedin Škrebo, selector of our team and leader of the MFS – EMMAUS project, under whose organization our team competes at the World Cup in Scotland.
