Solak: If pensioners do not respect the measures, we will make a new decision on Wednesday

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Fahrudin Solak, head of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters, said at a press conference that they are preparing for tomorrow's activities with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, in order to carry out control and monitoring of all the orders we have issued.

"Control of the movement of people over 65, because this is not for walking, but to go to the bank, for groceries and to the pharmacy. We have called on our fellow citizens to refrain from using the same stores, banks, pharmacies during this period if they do not have to go out. If we determine that the measures are not being respected, we will have to introduce some other restrictions," said Solak.

He confirmed that a plane from Stockholm will land in Sarajevo tonight at 7 PM, and quarantine has been secured.

"Tomorrow morning, a bus from France with our fellow citizens will arrive, and a measure of compulsory isolation has been determined," said Solak.

He emphasized that all the measures taken are yielding positive results and they hope it will remain so.

When asked by the media who will be responsible if the number of infected people increases this and next week, Solak said that they have taken all measures to protect citizens.

"We appeal to all our other fellow citizens to respect this period so that pensioners can collect their pensions and do their shopping. On Friday, after 12 PM, the movement ban for those over 65 will come into effect again. If we see on Tuesday that this is not being respected, we will have new measures on Wednesday," said Solak.
