SNSD activist physically assaulted Božidar Novaković, condemnation from PDP received

(Patria) - An SNSD activist physically assaulted PDP Presidency member Božidar Novaković yesterday, prompting a statement from the political party sharply condemning the attack by activist N. Z., whose full name they did not disclose, on Novaković, who is a candidate for councilor in the Assembly of the Municipality of Istočna Ilidža.

The PDP calls on the police and competent authorities to conclude the case and sanction what they describe as bullying behavior.

"SNSD activist N. Z. intercepted Novaković yesterday with his car, who was returning from regular pre-election activities, threatened him that he would have problems if he continued to come to the Kasindo settlement, and when Novaković called the police, he physically assaulted him, causing minor bodily injuries – threateningly, he choked him, tore his shirt, and snatched his phone from his hand," the PDP stated.

The case has been reported to the police, and based on the testimony and medical documentation, the initiation of criminal proceedings is expected.

"SNSD members who witnessed the physical assault indifferently observed the activist's attack in his bullying behavior, which has happened several times before, in the form of intercepting vehicles on the road and verbal threats. This behavior of the SNSD is pathetic and unacceptable; in the absence of political arguments, people resort to dishonorable actions and intimidation of certain candidates, attempting to influence election results in an illegal, arrogant, and reckless manner," said Bojan Dragić, president of the PDP Regional Board for Electoral Unit 8 and member of the PDP Presidency.
