Heavy snowfall in the mountains, new guests expected

Today on Jahorina it is snowing heavily, and the temperature measured at 7:30 AM is -7 °C. The current depth of packed snow on the slopes is 20 cm, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Of the vertical transport, the Poljice ski lift and the Poljice baby lift are operational. Work is underway on the Skočine slope, where the artificial snowmaking system was also operational during the previous night. In the coming days and nights, when temperatures allow, the artificial snowmaking system will be operational.

According to the announced weather forecasts, an additional 40 cm of snow should fall by tomorrow.

The new precipitation has also delighted tourism workers, as new reservations are expected, which were massively cancelled during January or visitors shortened their holidays due to the lack of snow.
