
(Patria) - Snowfall has hit most of Bosnia, with snow accumulating on the road surface, making traffic difficult and requiring cautious driving.
In Herzegovina it is raining, and the road surface is wet and slippery. The use of winter equipment is mandatory on all road routes, BIHAMK reported.
Due to a stuck oversized cargo vehicle in the village of Oglavak, traffic has been suspended on the Sarajevo-Trnovo section.
Due to a fallen tree, traffic has been suspended for all vehicle categories over the Koprivnica pass, on the Bugojno-Kupres road.
Ripački klanac, Lanište, Oštrelj, Romanija and Rogoj are closed for freight traffic, passenger vehicles travel with difficulty.
On the M-5 main road in the village of Šantići (Vitez), due to a truck skidding off the road, one lane is in operation.
Traffic is difficult on the roads: Banja Luka-Manjača-Čađavica, Mrkonjić Grad-Miliništa, Tisovac-Kneževo-Ugar, Kotor Varoš-Kneževo, Šipovo-Novo Selo, as well as over the passes Rostovo (Bugojno-Novi Travnik), Makljen (Prozor-Gornji Vakuf), Mlinište (Glamoč-Podbrdo), Rogoj (Sarajevo-Foča), Romanija (Sarajevo-Rogatica), Nišići (Srednje-Olovo) and Karaula (Olovo Kladanj).
Due to snowfall, BIHAMK asks truck drivers with trailers and semi-trailers to use winter equipment over the Komar pass (Donji Vakuf-Travnik).
Emergency traffic regulations have been temporarily removed from sections of the A-1 motorway Kakanj - Visoko and Podlugovi-Sarajevo north due to heavy precipitation.
In the Sarajevo neighbourhood of Kobilja Glava, a trolleybus got stuck on an uncleaned road, forcing passengers to walk.
Also, a tram broke down at the intersection near the Institute of Hygiene.
Rehabilitation of a landslide is underway in the village of Sijeračke stijene on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road, where traffic will be suspended for up to 45 minutes between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Due to mine clearance works on the Ustiprača-Goražde main road (at the quarry site), there will be half-hour traffic suspensions every working day from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Works are ongoing on the main roads: Bileća-Trebinje (at the Žudojevići site), Zavidovići-Vozuća (in the village of Krivaja), Jablanica-Blidinje (on the Jablanica-Kosne Luke section), Semizovac-Olovo, Gacko-Foča (in Sastavci), Jajce-Crna Rijeka, as well as at the entrance to Neum.
A long line of vehicles is forming at the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Bosanska Gradiška border crossing. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic is currently flowing with short delays.
Due to passenger registration under the new system for entering and leaving European Union countries (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer delays are possible at border crossings.
The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tonnes maximum permissible weight at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik).
Freight vehicles over 5t are being redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the GP Šepak crossing. Freight vehicles can travel via GP Šepak from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (on weekends they can cross from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
