Strong support from the ZDK Government for beekeeping production

(Patria) - The Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) Nezir Pivić and the Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jasmin Čajić spoke with the leaders of the Association of Beekeepers' Associations of ZDK Munib Husejnagić and Derviš Dedić about the state of beekeeping and support for this very important branch of agriculture.

The Association brings together 15 beekeeping associations from all 12 cities and municipalities of ZDK, with about 1,100 beekeepers and 37,000 bee colonies.



It was emphasized that the support from the ZDK Government is continuous and that this year it was the strongest in terms of the amount of funds and especially the number of supported producers.

In the past three years, a total of 64 beekeeping businesses have received incentives, of which 26 in 2025, with this year being the first time that 525 individual beekeepers received support of 5 KM per hive, and a total of 112,800.00 KM was allocated for this support.



Also, to this should be added the funds approved for the clinical examination of bee colonies, which are approved for beekeepers and veterinary stations.

Pivić and Čajić emphasized that beekeeping is a very significant branch of agriculture to which great attention is paid and that the commitment of the Government and the relevant ministry is to continue the support and increase the allocations for incentives.
