Strong support for unity: Adis Muhibić and Mihret Rotić lead strengthened FMUP Employees' Union

(Patria) - The regular Electoral and Reporting Assembly of the Union of Employees of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs (SSFMUP) was held yesterday at the House of Police in Sarajevo, resulting in the election of a new leadership and significant organizational strengthening.

In an atmosphere of unity and a clear vision for a better future, the membership has placed its trust in proven professionals, marking the beginning of a new era in the institution's work.

New Leadership and Expansion of the Management Board

Adis Muhibić was elected as the new President of the FMUP Union Assembly, while Mihret Rotić received trust for a new term as President of the Management Board.

The election of these two recognized police officers, multi-award-winning professionals, and proven fighters for the rights of their colleagues, received unequivocal support from the delegates.

Due to the exceptionally high interest from members in active participation, an extraordinary session was held immediately after the regular one.

During this session, the Statute was amended, increasing the number of Management Board members from the initial 11 to 15, thus ensuring greater operational strength for the union.

Muhibić: The Union as a Foundation for Protection and Cooperation

The newly elected President of the Assembly, Adis Muhibić, delivered a strong message about the directions of action, emphasizing the importance of synergy with the management and the relevant ministry.

- Our primary goal is close cooperation and making decisions that are exclusively in the best interest of police and state employees, as well as the staff of the FMUP and the Federal Police Administration.

The Union already enjoys significant support and cooperation with Minister Ram Isak, which was best reflected in the adoption of the new Collective Agreement with the Government of FBiH. This dialogue must continue and deepen to the satisfaction of all employees.

Furthermore, the newly appointed management of the FPA, led by Director Igor Marić and Deputy Director Vahidin Šahinpašić, already has our full support.

We will discuss all open issues transparently, finding the best solutions through constant communication and legal procedures, in order to further strengthen the reputation of the FPA and FMUP in the security landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The first and last line of defense for the rights of employees is a well-organized union composed of professionals proven in protecting citizens and their colleagues.

Therefore, I invite all colleagues who are not yet with us to join us. Our mass participation is our strength, and this strengthened team is a guarantee that no employee will be left to fend for themselves - said Muhibić.

Focus on Modernization and Transparency

The Assembly was marked by optimism regarding future cooperation with the management, with a special emphasis on modernizing equipment and improving working conditions.

It was highlighted that the Union will continue to be an active partner in all processes leading to the strengthening of police force capacities.

Work and Financial Reports Adopted

During the session, delegates thoroughly analyzed and unanimously adopted key documents for the past period: the Report on the Work of the Management Board for the period 2022-2026; the Report of the Solidarity Fund, which has been a crucial support for members in recent years; and the Report of the Supervisory Board of SSFMUP, which confirmed the transparency and correctness of financial operations.

This assembly sent a clear message – a strengthened and united Union of FMUP Employees is ready for all future challenges, standing firmly with every individual who honorably performs their duty in the service of state security.
