Worker rotation: New 179 EPBiH workers enter 14-day work isolation

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After home isolation and medical observation, a new group of 179 workers enters the production facilities of JP Elektroprivreda BiH, replacing 167 colleagues who spent 14 days in work isolation at thermal power plants and hydropower plants.

With the aim of stable and continuous electricity supply during the COVID-19 pandemic, the work process in the production units of JP Elektroprivreda BiH is carried out according to the principle of the so-called closed cycle, which implies complete isolation of employees in the premises of thermal power plants and hydropower plants for a period of 14 days, Elektroprivreda BiH announced.

Working in two shifts on a 12/12 hour schedule, 119 employees will be in work isolation at the Tuzla thermal power plant, 34 at the Kakanj thermal power plant, 16 at hydropower plants on the Neretva, and 10 employees at small hydropower plants in the Bihać and Tuzla electricity distribution areas.

All necessary conditions for work and stay are provided for workers staying in isolation in the production units. JP Elektroprivreda BiH has adapted its operations to the current situation and acts in accordance with the recommendations of the competent authorities.
Thanks to the high operational readiness of production and distribution capacities, electricity production is carried out continuously, ensuring the stability of the power system and regular supply to customers.
