Šuman dismissed, Ivica Obrvan new coach of the handball team

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The BiH handball team, after Bilal Šuman was dismissed at today's session of the RS BiH Board, already has a new coach.

Šuman's successor is Ivica Obrvan, a well-known name in the handball world. 

In his coaching career, he led the North Macedonia national team, French club Chambery, as well as Zagreb, Gorenje Velenje, Medveščak, and Metković.

As a player, he was a member of the Croatian national team with which he won gold at the 1993 Mediterranean Games and bronze at the 1994 European Championship. He played for Mehanika Metković, Zagreb, and Metković Jumbo.

Šuman will be offered a position within the Handball Federation of BiH. Reportedly, Šuman was dismissed due to poor results, as well as the fact that he does not have an EHF "Master Coach" license.
