SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the continuation of the session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, Mladen Bošković informed the House about the results of the session of the Commission for Elections and Appointments.
As he stated, the Commission voted seven to four in favor of the Proposal to first elect the Deputy Chairman from the ranks of the Croatian people, Mladen Bošković.
Subsequently, a proposal to relieve the current Chairman, Elvir Karajbić, was passed with a vote of 6:5.
With the same ratio, a proposal was passed to elect Mirsad Zaimović as Chairman.
With three votes in favor, four against, and four abstentions, the Commission rejected the proposal of the DF-GS Club that Mara Đukić be a candidate for Deputy Chairman from the ranks of the Croatian people.
At the beginning of the debate on the first agenda item, Damir Mašić thanked Karajbić for his work so far and expressed the wish that his successor be equally successful.
“As soon as you expressed the desire to proceed with the election of new leadership, there were no obstructions. The SDP is the opposition, but not an opposition to the state. I would ask the new Chairman to continue the interrupted regular session,” Mašić stated.
Mladen Bošković was then elected Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the FBiH with 56 votes in favor, five abstentions, and 26 against.
Damir Mašić then requested a roll-call vote.
After the roll-call vote, Bošković received 57 votes of support, one representative abstained, and 32 representatives voted against. For the dismissal of Karajbić from the position of Chairman, 52 voted in favor, seven abstained, and 29 voted against.
The SDP Club again requested a roll-call vote, after which 53 representatives supported the removal of Karajbić. There were six abstentions and 31 votes against.
Subsequently, Mirsad Zaimović from the SDA was elected Chairman of the House with 53 votes in favor, three abstentions, and 33 against. Sabina Ćudić from Our Party requested a roll-call vote, after which Zaimović received the support of 53 representatives, with eight abstentions and 29 against.
There were no candidates for Deputy Chairman from the ranks of the Serbian people after Goran Opsenica withdrew.
A 15-minute break was called for the Chairman to take over the materials.
