Smajić: A personnel coup against BiH has been carried out

(Patria) - Džemal Smajić, delegate (SBiH) in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, commented on the last session of this house and the House of Representatives of the PSBiH.

He points out that the public missed that the ruling coalition last week adopted the Law on Civil Service in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which allows 34 officials of Bosnia and Herzegovina (members of the Parliamentary Assembly, members of the Presidency of BiH, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, ministers and deputy ministers, the governor and vice-governors of the Central Bank) to engage advisors who are not citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and who do not have a university degree or can be pensioners.

“Since the listed officials have at least three, and some even four advisors on average, it means that more than 100 people could be engaged in advisor positions in Bosnia and Herzegovina who are not its citizens. All of them will be paid from the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” says Smajić.

According to the laws to date, this was not possible.

“It is important for the public to know that the precedent was set by Nenad Nešić, the current Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who brought in Željko Avramović from Serbia to his cabinet at the beginning of 2023, and has never confirmed whether he possesses citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With this law, the ruling coalition, of course with the support of the Troika, has legalized this scandalous practice. Now we can expect people like Aleksandar Vulin and others like him in the institutions of BiH. With this, the Troika and its partners have carried out a personnel coup against BiH, after which we will suffer unforeseeable consequences,” Smajić stated.
