Slovenian magazine Finance writes that the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, while he was the director of the Slovenian company Cimos in Gradačac, gave money from this company to the Metalworkers' Union of Sarajevo, but also financed all cultural events in Gradačac.
Meanwhile, Cimos plants in the region were being saved with the money of Slovenian taxpayers due to difficult business operations.
The magazine states that Novalić caused damage to the company by spending Cimos's money in such a way, but he won the sympathy of the workers, after which he used it for political points and became the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Patria agency.
Finance writes that Novalić transferred about 20,000 KM of Cimos's money monthly to the Metalworkers' Union in Sarajevo in 2011. The money, according to this magazine, went to the needs of the company Energoinvest TAT, which sometimes worked for Cimos TMD.
Novalić justified this move to Slovenian journalists as a business relationship between Cimos and Energoinvest TAT.
But that's not all. Finance reminds that Novalić also spent Cimos's money on financing all cultural and sports events in Gradačac. The magazine states that Novalić paid about 100,000 euros annually to the account of the football club Zvijezda from Gradačac, financed the construction of the stadium, and helped maintain the Gradačac Fair event...
- Novalić gained the sympathy of the workers because of this. When the employees heard the news about the dismissal of director Novalić, they turned off the machines and strongly supported their director. The sympathy that Novalić gained among the workers as the director of Cimos, he translated into political points, after which he became the Prime Minister of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – writes Finance.
In 2013, the Cimos Group dismissed Novalić from the head of Cimos Gradačac. The leaders of this Slovenian company stated at the time that Novalić was dismissed due to non-compliance with the decisions of the Assembly regarding the appointment of a procurator and the reduction of the director's powers, violation of the individual employment contract, i.e., payment of a higher salary than agreed, and suspicions of multiple abuses of position.
Finance also writes that it is no wonder that Samir Iskrić, who also managed the financial service in the company Cimos TMD while Novalić was at the head of the company, took care of Zvijezda's finances. Iskrić is now the head of Prime Minister Novalić's office, reports Patria.
