ZDK Assembly Adopts Budget of KM 594,874,450

(Patria) - The Zenica-Doboj Canton Assembly, which today adopted by a majority vote and through an expedited procedure the draft budget of that canton for 2024 in the amount of a record KM 594,874,450, also adopted the budgets of the ZDK Health Insurance Fund and the ZDK Employment Service.

This fulfills all obligations of the ZDK Government and Assembly regarding the provision of conditions for the normal functioning of the canton's institutions and organizations in 2024, which are financed by funds from the ZDK budget, the ZDK Health Insurance Fund, and the ZDK Employment Service.

The budget of that canton adopted today for the next year amounts to approximately KM 73 million more than the rebalanced budget for 2023 adopted today, which amounts to KM 521,486,490. The rebalanced budget is significantly smaller than the adopted draft budget for this year, which amounted to KM 540,582,580.

The financial plan of the ZDK Health Insurance Fund for 2024 is expected to amount to KM 280,000,000, which is about KM 20 million more than the rebalanced budget of that institution for 2023 adopted today. The budget of that institution is almost KM 30 million higher than the adopted draft budget for this year, which amounted to KM 250,139,895.

The Assembly also gave its consent to the Financial Plan of the Public Institution ZDK Employment Service for 2024, which amounts to KM 27,585,532.

Today, the Draft Law on Supplementary Rights of Defenders and their Families of ZDK was also adopted, presented by the relevant minister Adnan Sirovica (DF), and it received the support of veteran associations formed from the ranks of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Croatian Defence Council, so all present deputies supported the offered text of the document.

The ZDK Assembly also gave its positive opinion on the Draft Law on Spirits of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
