Assembly of the Handball Federation of BiH confirmed new members of the Management Board

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Assembly of the Handball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at today's extraordinary session, confirmed new members of the Management Board after the current members offered their mandates to the Assembly at their disposal.

The task of the newly elected members of the Management Board is to try to find solutions for the situation in the Federation, due to which a serious warning was received from the European Handball Federation (EHF) about the suspension of the Handball Federation and BiH clubs.

If this happens, no team from BiH will be able to participate in EHF competitions this season, nor will the BiH handball team be able to play qualifications for the 2020 European Championship, which begin in October this year.

45 delegates attended the session, who pointed out the absence of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, but also the inconsistencies in the Statute that hindered work, which the newly elected leadership should address in the next month.

Therefore, it was proposed at today's session, which was unanimously adopted, to establish two associations within the Federation, one of which would take care of the domestic league, and the other of international competitions, and when the tax ID number is obtained and the account is unblocked, these associations would cease to operate.

The President of the Assembly of the Handball Federation of BiH, Branko Vukojević, expressed hope that the accumulated problems will be resolved, noting that only a temporary solution was reached today, but also adding that this should be a message to the EHF that steps have been taken to resolve the problems.
