KS Assembly to decide on several legal solutions, advisor positions to be reinstated in KS Government, municipalities, mayor

(Patria) - The agenda of today's session of the Sarajevo Canton (KS) Assembly will include proposals for decisions on the verification of decisions on awarding KS public recognitions.

Deputies are expected to make a decision on the verification of the Decision on declaring the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to BiH, Rezeq N.M. Namoora, an honorary citizen of KS.

A decision will also be made on awarding the KS Plaque to: Samira Hurem, Josip Pejaković, Zlatan Fazlić Fazli, Mirsad Terzić, Ismail Barlov, the Association of Veterans - Minor Volunteers of the Defense-Liberation War '92-'95 KS, the music group Mostar Sevdah Reunion, the Association "Think Pink - Together We Are One", the Institute for History in Sarajevo, the Hunting Association "Sarajevo" Sarajevo.

A decision will also be made on awarding the Plaque posthumously to academicians Muhamed Filipović, Ibrahim Pašić, academician Hadžem Hajdarević, and Segmedina Srna-Bajramović, as well as academician Dževad Jahić, who passed away on Monday, April 22.

The deputies will also consider the Proposal of the Program for marking the Day of KS from May 2 to May 9, and the Proposal of the Decision on initiating the development of the KS Spatial Plan for the period of 20 years.

Deputies will also consider, under an urgent procedure, the Proposal of the Law on temporary assumption of co-financing of cultural and educational institutions founded by BiH.

The Draft Law on Amendments and Additions to the Law on Civil Service in KS, the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in KS Government Bodies, and the Draft Law on Electronic Governance in KS will also be considered. Amendments to the law on civil service reinstate the possibility for members of the KS Government, municipal mayors, and the mayor of Sarajevo to engage advisors, which was abolished in 2017. It is stipulated that they can engage a maximum of two advisors each.

The agenda also includes the Proposal of the Decision on adopting the Relocation Plan for the realization of the Project "Construction of the Ilidža-Hrasnica Tram Line", as well as the Proposal of the decision on naming the new bridge in the area of the municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo.

Deputies will also consider proposals for Decisions on giving consent to the Work Programs of public institutions in the field of culture for 2024, and the Report on the work of the Police Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS for the period July 1 - September 30, 2023.
