Under the auspices of the Municipality of Centar and in cooperation with the Public Institution Center for Sport and Recreation, a free basketball school was organized, attended by students from fifth to ninth grade from elementary schools in the central Sarajevo municipality, in the period from October 6, 2014, to May 28, 2015, reports the Patria News Agency.
Under the professional guidance of physical education teachers, 39 students attended the free basketball classes (a total of 57 hours of instruction) in the FIS sports hall, twice a week. The highest number of students enrolled in the basketball school were from Hasan Kaimija Elementary School (12), followed by schools: Alija Nametak (9), Safvet-beg Bašagić (6), Catholic School Center (4), Silvije Strahimir Kranjčević and Isak Samokovlija (3), while two participants were registered from Musa Ćazim Ćatić Elementary School for the basketball school.
The Municipality of Centar allocated 5,000 KM from its budget for the realization of this project, it was announced from the Municipality of Centar.
