Scandal in the Council of Peoples: Mahmutović threatened while defending constitutional provisions

(Patria) - Dževad Mahmutović (SDA), a delegate in the Council of Peoples of the RS entity, was seriously threatened today at a session of the Council of Peoples of the BiH entity RS.

Mahmutović was verbally attacked by Živko Marjanac, the Vice-President of the RS Council of Peoples.

According to Mahmutović, Marjanac told him: "Shorten your tongue, or I will ban you from coming here".

As Mahmutović explained to us in a statement, Marjanac told him this when he was replying to his statement and stated that the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was created by the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

I was explaining that it changed its name and that it is written in the Constitution - Mahmutović said.

This incident has been reported to the police, and Mahmutović will seek an assessment of his security from the police director today.

Two days ago, in the early morning hours, his private car was set on fire on his property in Tuzla, causing significant material damage and endangering his and his family's safety.

As is known, Mahmutović, along with colleagues from the Bosniak Caucus in the Council of Peoples, prepared an appeal for the assessment of the constitutionality of the amendments to the Law on Referendum, which was recently adopted by the NSRS.
