Skaka: 1,425 days of pain, sorrow and hope, 1,425 days of defence!

(Patria) - April 5 is the Day of Commemoration of the Siege of Sarajevo 1992-1995. On that occasion, the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was hung on the City Hall. This flag was confirmed by the Constitution of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted on March 14, 1993. It was used until 1998 when a new flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was adopted.

"That is a time that wrote pages about the defeat of civilization in the heart of Europe and about the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a city of defiant and brave people. Painful days in which innocent children's lives were taken, our fellow citizens were killed! 1,425 days of pain, sorrow and hope. 1,425 days of defence! May evil never be repeated to anyone!", said the Mayor of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skaka.
