United States also a sponsor of the Srebrenica Resolution

(Patria) - The United States of America has joined the list of sponsors of the Draft Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica, which will be on the agenda of the United Nations General Assembly on May 2nd, the Potočari Memorial Center announced.

The Srebrenica Memorial Center noted that the US has supported the protection of the memory of genocide victims for years, as well as ensuring the establishment, development, and survival of the Memorial Center.

"This support represents a continuation of the US policy advocated by President Biden, which was confirmed by previous administrations, including President Clinton, and in his 2020 message by then-Secretary of State Pompeo," they added.

Gratitude for the support of the Resolution was expressed on the social networks of the Memorial Center to Rwanda, Germany, New Zealand, Chile, France, Liechtenstein, and Slovenia.
