Great atmosphere at FK Željezničar ahead of the derby

(Patria) - Ahead of the eternal derby, a press conference was also held at FK Željezničar.

We remind you that as part of the 10th round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željezničar will visit Sarajevo. The head coach, Nermin Bašić, said that the match against Široki was a prelude to the most important match of the season, and also an opportunity to emerge from the crisis.

"The atmosphere has been great in training these two days, smiles are there. However, we didn't fall even through those five defeats, we were all together in the club and I think we learned a lot. The streak couldn't have ended in a better way. In the derby, positions on the table are not important, other things that are in the air are more important, and I think we will be able to compete with Sarajevo.

As a coach, I have to control certain things, emotions must not turn into a 'fight'. You must not let emotions sweep aside the strategy for that derby. You cannot expect all your coaching ideas to be implemented in the derby, but you must implement at least some basic ones. We all know how much player turnover there has been in Sarajevo in recent years, I think they have finally sorted things out. I am glad they brought in a coach from Slovenia, who is an excellent expert. For everything they have invested so far, they have only scored one goal more than Željo. It's not all about money either. We also have our own desires, we know we can, and we will see where Sarajevo will end up and where Željo will. Logically, they play at Koševo and they are the favorites. I agree that we have a problem with away matches, but I think the derby is not that kind of match, it's not a classic away game.

First-team player of the Blues, Amar Drina, expects a good match.

"We were certainly aware that we had a bad streak and that it affected our performances where we played worse. I hope that after Široki Brijeg we will play much better. The atmosphere in the locker room is good both when we have results and when we don't, that will never be shaken. I hope that with good support from the fans we will achieve a good result in the derby," Drina pointed out.

The match will be played on Sunday starting at 8:30 PM with a live broadcast on Arena Sport.
