Široki eliminates Želja from further competition, the team from Grbavica will not defend last season's trophy

ŠIROKI BRIJEG, (Patria) - In the derby of the round of 32 of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup, Široki Brijeg defeated Željezničar 2-0 and secured a place in the round of 16.

In the ninth minute, Široki threatened through Kvesić, and four minutes later Zec tried on the other side, but it remained 0-0. In the 17th minute, another chance for Široki through Eliomar, however, without a change in the score.

The 29th minute was being played when the hosts created a fine action that Kožul crowned with a goal for a 1-0 lead. Matić tried with a header after a cross from Kvesić in the 40th minute, but the teams went to the break with a 1-0 lead for the hosts.

The second half starts excellently for Široki. In the 52nd minute, Kvesić scores for 2-0 after a cardinal mistake by Rodin. Five minutes later, a chance for Bagarić as well, it remained 2-0. Begonja tried a shot in the 70th minute, without danger to Fejzić's goal. Čurjurić attempted to threaten Široki's goal in the 75th minute, but he shot poorly in the finish.

There were not many excitements until the end of the match, and Široki secured a place in the round of 16, while Željezničar said goodbye to the defense of the Cup title already at the first step.
