Široki Brijeg two matches without spectators, fined 3,000 KM

(Patria) - The Disciplinary Committee of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina has suspended the Pecara stadium for two matches without spectators, and NK Široki Brijeg has been fined 3,000 KM, reports Faktor.

This decision was confirmed by Josip Roso, the committee president.

“We decided that Široki Brijeg will play the next two matches without fans, and the club has been fined 3,000 KM. We made the decision by consensus, and in addition to the delegate's report, we also had video material at our disposal,” Roso told Faktor.

The incident at Pecara occurred on Wednesday, in the round of 16 of the BiH Cup, when the match Široki Brijeg – Sarajevo (3:2) was interrupted for 22 minutes due to the unruly behavior of the home team's fans, who displayed hate speech, and in the second half, they hit Anel Hebibović, a player of the visiting team, which also caused the match to be interrupted.

The members of the DC also received reports from FK Sarajevo and NK Široki Brijeg at today's session, but they did not discuss them, and this will be the subject of one of the upcoming sessions.

Also, the Competition Committee of the N/FSBiH reported several Sarajevo players for violating the Code of Conduct (statements in the media), but no decisions were made, as statements from those reported will also be sought.

In addition, it should be noted that the DC also fined Petar Franjić, a player of Široki Brijeg, who received a red card. He will be suspended for five matches and will also pay a fine of 500 KM.
