(Patria) - Široki Brijeg defeated the team of Sarajevo's Željezničar today in Čitluk in the last match of the 20th round of the Premier League of BiH with a score of 2:0.
Let's recall, it was originally planned that these two teams would face each other yesterday at 1 PM, but due to the waterlogged pitch at the Bare stadium in Čitluk, the match was postponed, writes Faktor.
Yesterday's adverse weather conditions left consequences on the pitch, which was in poor condition, significantly dictating the tempo of the game.
The first event of the match occurred in the 12th minute. Pranjić slipped behind the defense of the Blues, Muftić saved.
In the very next attack, Mašić shot, and Muftić again saved brilliantly.
Until the end of the first half, we saw almost nothing from either team.
The home team threatened at the very start of the second half. Lukić attempted an attractive 'bicycle kick', but the ball deflected off Selimović for a corner.
In the 54th minute, Kuprešak tried a great shot from distance, but Muftić once again proved his skill between the posts of the Blues.
Široki Brijeg took the lead in the 58th minute. Marin brilliantly set up Kuprešak, who went one-on-one with Muftić and scored for the deserved lead of the home team.
The final score of 2:0 was set by substitute Mišić after a big mistake by Drljo in the 90th minute.
For Željezničar, this was their tenth away defeat this season in the Premier League. The team from Grbavica remained ninth in the standings with 20 points. On the other hand, Široki occupies sixth place with 28 points.
