SIPA confirms: Internal proceedings against Krnjić underway, competent prosecutor's offices notified

(Patria) - In response to reports on the Istraga.ba portal, which were also carried by other portals and relate to proceedings against a police officer of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, SIPA has also issued an official statement to the public.

"In the case codenamed 'Incitat', which this Agency has been handling for a longer period, we inform you that in connection with the aforementioned, an internal procedure has been initiated within the Agency against Jasmin Krnjić, in which all details and facts will be investigated, after which an appropriate decision will be made in accordance with the law and based on the established facts.

The competent prosecutor's offices have also been informed of this case," SIPA announced.

We remind you that istraga.ba reported that SIPA inspector Jasmin Krnjić admitted to the agency's internal control and the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office that Edin Forto and other Our Party (Naša stranka) officials offered his wife employment in state service if he stopped or slowed down the investigation in the Bjelašnica case, Istraga.ba has learned.

Messages confirming these allegations were also found in Krnjić's phone. Some of these messages were written by the president of Our Party, Edin Forto, who is also the state Minister of Transport and Communications, and who, according to Istraga's information, had been pressuring Bojan Bošnjak, a minister in the Government of Sarajevo Canton who is currently in custody, for months.
