(Patria) - The Healthcare Workers' Union of Sarajevo Canton (KS) has accepted the offer of the KS Government to increase the hourly wage to 3.40 KM from 3.07 KM.
This information was confirmed by the President of the Healthcare Workers' Union of KS, Senad Sadiković.
The KS Government made this decision at today's session, following a protest march by several thousand healthcare workers, which was supported by other unions. They concluded the march in front of the KS Government, demanding an hourly wage between 3.30 and 3.70 KM.
The KS Government initially proposed 3.25 KM, which the Union rejected, and they have now accepted the increase to 3.40 KM.
As Sadiković stated, activities related to the new collective agreement, which should be signed in April 2025, continue, and workers hope that the new agreement will secure the hourly wage increase they originally demanded.
