BHRT Union Demands Law Compliance and Reaction to Banja Luka Court Ruling

(Patria) - The Independent Union of Workers at BHRT demands that the management and the Supervisory Board of BHRT, in accordance with the law, utilize all legal options and adequately react to the ruling of the Higher Commercial Court in Banja Luka, which the Union learned about from the media.

"Given that court rulings are not commented on, we demand that courts and prosecutor's offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina not be politicized but work professionally and responsibly, according to the law.

The Higher Commercial Court in Banja Luka ruled that BHRT must pay RTRS more than 17.7 million KM, RTRS announced.

"We demand from everyone in the chain of responsibility, courts, prosecutor's offices, and the management of all three public broadcasters to respect the Law on the Public RTV System of BiH, which has been violated since 2017, and which jeopardizes the existence of BHRT employees and the survival of the Public Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina," stated the union.

They remind that BHRT employees have not had their contributions paid for more than 10 years and that for 2026, only one meal allowance has been paid - for January.
