SARAJEVO, (Patria) - I accused Europe of betraying Bosnia, said Bosnian writer and academic Abdulah Sidran on N1 television, who spoke about his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, his stay in Paris at a session hosted by Bernard-Henri Lévy, as well as the domestic political scene and culture.
Sidran said that he began his address at the lunch with Macron by stating that Europe today is paying the price for the mistakes it made in 1992-1995 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“I asked him not to resent us, or rather, us Bosnians by birth, Bosniaks by ethnicity. We feel the same as in 1992-1995 when the arms embargo practically applied only to us, while the other two nations had open routes. And to this day, the principle of equality is violated – that one nation is hindered in every kind of travel. I spoke for a long time, it was almost uncomfortable,” said Sidran.
