SFK 2000 Sarajevo: Girl from Srebrenica amazes with football talent

SFK 2000 Sarajevo is the most successful women's football club in Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the most successful in the region. The Bordo-white club, in addition to great results in the senior team, also boasts good work with younger age groups. A total of forty-four girls train football, making the SFK 2000 Sarajevo Football School one of the largest sports collectives for girls in the Canton of Sarajevo, reports the Patria News Agency.

- In addition to an extremely successful senior team, we are also very proud of our Girls' Football School, which has been a source of our talents and future seniors for years. Approximately 75% of our seniors are players who came up through our Youth Academy, which is certainly one of our strategic goals, and shows that we are counting on stable and continuous quality in the future. Since the beginning of 2016, the Girls' Football School has been free and open to all ages from 5 to 16 years old. During the enrollment campaign, 20 new girls have already joined us, some of whom are real talents and potentials. To wear the first team jersey? Why not?! - said Samira Hurem, head coach of SFK 2000 Sarajevo.

The club's General Secretary, Azra Numanović, explained all the details regarding enrollment in the Football School.

- Girls can apply via the SFK 2000 Sarajevo Facebook page, via the contact phone number of coach Alisa Spahić 061/311-461, and at the club premises in the Membership and Ticketing Department, located at Maršala Tita street 38/b. Training sessions during the winter period are held at Vistafon at the following times: Monday at 9:20 AM and 2:40 PM, Wednesday at 9:20 AM and 2:40 PM, and Friday at 9:20 AM and 1:20 PM - said Numanović.

Dedicated work with girls also brings successful results. One of the most talented attendees of the school is eight-year-old Nadja Golubović, who comes from Srebrenica, and who has amazed the coaches of SFK 2000 Sarajevo.

- This is a girl from Srebrenica who came to visit her family in Sarajevo during the winter break. Her relatives are involved in football, so she also went to goalkeeper training, where she was referred to our training. She is only eight years old, her name is Nadja, she does not train football in Srebrenica, and everything she has shown is actually a gift from God. The technique, attitude, communication, and courage that Nadja possesses have simply amazed us - said Alisa Spahić, a coach at the SFK 2000 Sarajevo Football School.
