SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The red carpet with motifs of the Bosnian carpet, which guests of this year's 25th Sarajevo Film Festival will walk on, has been delivered to the National Theatre. The carpet was presented on July 5, and preparations for the jubilee edition of the Festival are underway.
The project was conceived and financed by the City Administration of Sarajevo, headed by Mayor Abdulah Skaka. During the presentation of the new red carpet, SFF Director Mirsad Purivatra said that more than 50 percent of SFF photos are taken on the red carpet.
This year's Sarajevo Film Festival will be held from August 16 to 23 under the auspices of UNESCO and with the motto 'Sarajevo mon amour'.
Launched towards the end of the four-year siege of Sarajevo in 1995, with the desire to help rebuild civil society, the Sarajevo Film Festival has today grown into one of the most respected international film festivals with a special focus on the Southeast European region. During these festival days, Sarajevo lives 24 hours a day, and numerous world media produce reports about the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The red Bosnian carpet will be an opportunity to showcase the history, culture, tradition, and customs of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a unique way.
