(Patria) - How to create a green oasis in the middle of a concrete jungle?
New York-based architectural company ODA believes that green spaces should be incorporated into the building itself.
That's why they designed the look of a Seoul skyscraper that spans 45 floors, with a green "hole" in the middle.
The hole in the structure is actually a sky garden called Terarij Cheong-Dama, which would be filled with flowers, trees, and plants.
Only the residents of the skyscraper and those working in it could enjoy this private terrarium.
The Seoul skyscraper is intended to be divided into two parts - the upper part above the sky garden would be reserved for residential spaces, and the floors below for business offices.
At the base of the building, there would be a public park accessible to everyone and various shops.
It is still unknown when construction will begin and whether the skyscraper will be built at all, but if it happens, it will certainly become a recognizable landmark in the panorama of the South Korean capital, writes Punkufer.hr.
