March with white ribbons marked the suffering of Prijedor residents

PRIJEDOR, (Patria) - Hundreds of participants in a march in Prijedor today, with white ribbons around their arms bearing the names of 102 murdered children and carrying white roses, marked the 27th anniversary of the crime in that city. The march was organized by the civic initiative "Because it concerns me". A circle was woven from roses with the names of murdered children in the square as a symbol of the monument that still does not exist.

Ethnic cleansing was carried out in Prijedor during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, and 3,176 Prijedor residents, mostly Bosniaks, were killed. More than 500 victims are still being searched for.

Family members of the victims, survivors, and members of non-governmental organizations walked through the center of Prijedor, once again sending a request to the city authorities for the erection of a monument to the murdered children.

White ribbons with the names of murdered children, written in Latin and Cyrillic scripts, were tied to the bridge on Bereku.
