Šeranić: 162 coronavirus cases in RS, three on ventilators

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - Out of 74 tested samples yesterday, 7 were positive for coronavirus, said RS Health Minister Alen Šeranić at a press conference.

In RS, there are 162 positive cases for coronavirus, of which 91 are men and 71 are women.

"One person is from Banja Luka, six from Gradiška, of which five people are from a family cluster who were in contact with an infected person and one not related to this cluster. They are in stable health condition and all are in home isolation," said Šeranić.

He confirmed that four tested samples from the quarantine in Šamac were negative for the virus.

"There are 28 people at UKC RS, and 3 people are on ventilators as of today. 15 people are in the pulmonology department," said Šeranić.

16,519 people are under health supervision in RS.

Regarding the situation at the borders, quarantines have been set up in Brod, Gradiška, Šamac, and a quarantine is expected to be set up in Rača.

"At the Gradiška border crossing, there are 82 people in quarantine, of which 24 are from FBiH. Šamac has 11 people, 9 from RS, 2 from FBiH. Brod has 112, 39 from RS, 72 from FBiH," said Šeranić.

All test results of contacts of the infected doctor from Doboj are negative, which is good news.

"The colleague is in the hospital for treatment and is in good health condition," said Šeranić.
 

We test everyone whom the hygiene-epidemiological service deems necessary to test. Certain assessments for further activities are currently being made.
