Šepić: The SDA, DF, and SBB coalition is a political hybrid that will only serve Bakir Izetbegović

(Patria) - One of the parties that experienced major internal upheavals after the General Elections was the Independent Bloc, and the president of this party, Senad Šepić, in an interview with Patria, despite the departure of some people from the party, emphasizes that the situation is good.

"The Independent Bloc had its first Congress a month ago, at which the leadership was elected, the Main Board, the Ethics and Supervisory Board were elected, after which the Secretary General - Edib Smolo from Kakanj and the Presidency of the party were appointed. We are a stable party, with functional party bodies and a clear direction of action in the coming period," says Šepić.  

Explaining what he specifically means when talking about the principles of action, Šepić points out that these are the principles on which the Independent Bloc was founded - opposing "this way of running and privatizing the country and institutions."

"Therefore, we also have new members in Bihać, Prijedor, Sarajevo, Brčko, across the country. The idea of the Independent Bloc has won. Sabotage and destruction came and were supported by the SDA in the media, about who Bakir Izetbegović shamefully met with in weekend houses around Sarajevo. Those people who wanted to sell the idea of the Independent Bloc for their own interests have been defeated and expelled, because the SDA bought them, and through public tenders. The media reported on this. Now the legal state should deal with them, although we all know that the judiciary is also in party hands, unfortunately," said Šepić.

The leaders of the Independent Bloc and People and Justice previously spoke about the option of uniting these parties, which would round off the parliamentary representation of these two parties from the cantons to the state level.

"We are a unified political entity that has a future, and we believe that the people will appreciate our persistence in fighting against the current regime, on principles and ideas that are in the interest of the citizens. The Independent Bloc has remained true to the ideas and messages we conveyed even before the elections. Look at SBB, SDA, DF... they have betrayed their voters, and if there were a transparent and fair electoral process - they would be adequately punished. We do not consider politics to be deceiving people for the sake of positions, but rather socially responsible activity. We are in contact with People and Justice and with other parties that have decided to say NO to the current ethno-national regimes fenced in three pens, and we believe that we will further strengthen that cooperation in the local elections. It is an alliance and a common approach of similar political parties that is necessary for our country for change, because only together can we overthrow this political-parasitic system that has set the country back. An alternative must exist, and I am sure we will build it together," adds Šepić.

There is still no government at the BiH and Federation level. Šepić believes that the broader bloc that the SDA is gathering cannot bring much good to the citizens of this country.

"The current political situation is catastrophic. For the first time since Dayton, Bosniaks will not have four ministers in the Council of Ministers of BiH. Bakir said that Bosniaks will surely get the Ministry of Finance, because SDA chooses first, after the chairman who should come from the ranks of the Serbian people, and then we saw that Dragan Čović will get it again. There is no MAP. So, everything he promised, the 'great negotiator' Bakir Izetbegović has lost. Although, it is clear how he operates and how much he manipulates people, and it is visible that he consciously handed over positions in the Council of Ministers to Radončić so that he could deal with everyone in the SDA who could stand in his way. The coalition of SDA, DF, and SBB is a political mishmash that has no perspective. It is a hybrid that will serve Bakir Izetbegović to share the already certain political failure of the old-new government with Komšić and Radončić. Why should people in BiH believe these people any more? One only needs to ask the voters of SDA, DF, and SBB how they feel after the pre-election promises, statements like 'Bakir is a political idiot', 'I wouldn't go into government with SDA even if I were crazy', 'never with Radončić', or 'Should I jump off the tower to prove I won't go into government'. However, the problem is that they have long since had neither responsibility nor honor, nor shame, but are pure political pragmatists, and such marriages always end with the marital partners rolling in the mud," believes Šepić.
