Šepić: We warned about vaccines long ago, corruption and incompetent government are costing us dearly

(Patria) - The president of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić, commented on information about the number of vaccinated people in the region's countries, according to which BiH is doing the worst and so far has not had a single vaccinated person, while, for example, Serbia has over 300 thousand so far, and Croatia 70 thousand.

“This was the situation a few days ago. Today, the numbers in neighboring countries are even higher.

We are still at 0, we don't even know which vaccines we will get, how many, from whom, and when. This speaks volumes about where we are, about the government and the system in our country.

As early as August, we requested that experts and professionals be urgently involved in this matter, so that the 'respirators' scenario would not be repeated. The regime and corrupt media laughed at us and called us populists. Half a year later, we have these numbers, and it's no longer important that you are right when the consequences are expensive.

The same was the case with years of persistent struggle to meet the conditions and for BiH to become a member of the European Union. An incompetent and corrupt government did everything to slow down and stop this process, even though we are all suffering.

Last year, we had a difficult situation with the pandemic. Both BiH and, for example, neighboring Croatia. Our neighbors, simply because they are in the EU, received 22 billion euros from that Fund to help their economies. We are approximately the same size and population, they have 22 billion euros available for these purposes, and BiH barely half a billion euros, in its redistributions for economic aid.

If someone does not understand why it is important for BiH to be in the EU, then perhaps only from this example and these numbers can they see why. And that is why the voice and the fight for a different policy and change are worthwhile and worth fighting for. Independent Bloc.” - wrote Senad Šepić, president of the Independent Bloc, on his FB profile.
