
(Patria) - The SDA candidate for Mayor of Old Town in Sarajevo will be Dženan Selimbegović.
This news was confirmed on the official Facebook page of the Party of Democratic Action from Old Town.
“Only an honest man, with serious references and great life and professional experience, can stabilize our Municipality. The Municipal Board of SDA Old Town will nominate Dženan Selimbegović for the Mayor of Old Town Municipality in the early elections that will be held on October 29. Dženan Selimbegović was born in 1974 in Sarajevo. He joined the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a volunteer in 1992. After the end of the aggression, he enrolled and graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Sarajevo. He has been building a successful legal career with excellent results through administrative bodies at various levels. From 2013 to the present, he has held the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has never been a candidate in elections before. He is married and the father of two children,” they announced.
Let us remind you, SDP's Irfan Čengić is also in this race. Behind his candidacy are also People and Justice, Our Party, as well as the Democratic Front, SBB, and the local party Alliance for Old Town. Čengić also emphasized that he has the support of independent councilors.
