EU Foreign Ministers to Discuss BiH on Monday

The Council of Ministers of the European Union for Foreign Affairs will discuss the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, according to the announcement of the Council session, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

- EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton will inform the Council about her visit to Sarajevo a few days ago, where she discussed the situation with politicians and representatives of civil society - the announcement states, confirming the information that the Patria agency published yesterday.

Foreign ministers of the member states will discuss, as we learn, the idea for a new approach towards BiH, but will not adopt conclusions. NAP published yesterday, from diplomatic sources, that there is still no agreement among the members on the new approach, and that even the strongest European countries, such as Germany, have not yet fully declared themselves. The idea of a new approach was launched by EU Enlargement Commissioner Štefan Füle after the failure of the Sejdić-Finci negotiations.
