Seven candidates for SIPA director, for 'Galić case' Independent Board seeks information from the Prosecutor's Office

(Patria) - The Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) at its 38th session noted that a total of seven candidates applied for the Public Call for conducting the procedure of selecting candidates for the position of Director of the State Agency for Investigation and Protection (SIPA).

The Independent Board of PSBiH reviewed the received applications and concluded that all applications were timely, complete, and orderly. The Independent Board of PSBiH decided that, after the necessary checks are carried out, interviews will be conducted with all seven candidates in accordance with the further competition procedure.

Regarding the agenda item related to the current situation in SIPA,
i.e., the Deputy Director of SIPA, Zoran Galić, the Independent Board concluded that certain information will be requested from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, and upon receiving that information, the Independent Board will adopt appropriate conclusions and decisions.

Members of the Independent Board expressed regret over the death of the Deputy Chairman of the Independent Board, Uroš Pene, and extended their deepest condolences to the family. The Independent Board took note of the information that the Sector for Other Parliamentary Bodies of PSBiH has sent a notification to PSBiH to initiate the procedure for the election and appointment of a member of the Independent Board.
