Fadil Novalić's government has refused to toughen penalties for reckless drivers who cause havoc on the roads of the Federation, and believes that stricter penalties are not needed for hooligans who cause disturbances at sports events, reports the Patria agency.
The FBiH Government is currently working on amendments to the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The amendments have been adopted by the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, and on Wednesday they will also be considered by the delegates in the House of Peoples of the PFBiH.
Interestingly, during the debate on the amendments to the Criminal Code of the FBiH in the House of Representatives last week, the Government did not adopt any of the 16 amendments proposed by the SDP Club. The SDP explains that through these amendments, they were only seeking greater security for all citizens in the Federation.
In addition to stricter penalties for reckless drivers and hooligans at matches, the SDP also sought stricter penalties for theft, domestic violence, and harsher prison sentences for causing bodily harm...
Statistical data alarmingly indicates a constant increase in the number of thefts in the FBiH. The number of violent behaviors is also rising, especially among young people. The number of women seeking help from safe houses is also alarming, writes Patria.
