If an official in Bosnia and Herzegovina came before the cameras and told all citizens that they are all stupid and naive, I am sure that a certain number of people would sue that official for insult. I am even more sure that the opposition would be breathing down that official's neck with the intention of demonizing them.
Therefore, the lack of reaction to the statement by the Social Democratic Party of BiH yesterday, in which we are all collectively treated as blind, deaf, and naive fools who do not see that Milorad Dodik, the leader of SNSD, is politically dead because he is no longer the president of Republika Srpska, is completely unclear to me.
The extent of the sorcery and black magic cast on SDP was even better determined by a cantonal minister from that party, Kenan Magoda, who claimed that "while others were sitting with Dodik in cafes, Nermin Nikšić removed him from the political scene." God forbid! If Nikšić removed anyone, it was primarily SDP, which today has the same energy as a battery from a Chinese flashlight after the third use.
But let's go in order.
The Red Goebbels on steroids who wrote yesterday's propaganda garbage from SDP clearly lacks serious political experience, otherwise, they would know that for someone to be "politically dead," they must be deprived of the ability to make decisions. And as far as we can see, no one has taken a single feather from Dodik's hand. The fact that Ana Trišić-Babić will sign RS laws instead of him will only free up more time and space for him to seek partners to strengthen RS. He has already found them in the State Department; praise arrived this morning.
And for those in SDP to better understand the situation in BiH, let them check who sits in the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. There they will find Željka Cvijanović, an SNSD cadre, a loyal cadre of Milorad Dodik. It would be interesting to hear what SDP thinks, whose policy Cvijanović is implementing, if Dodik is "buried"? Perhaps she is implementing Nikšić's program of "Inaction to Extinction"?
If only they had waited a few hours and watched yesterday's session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS), perhaps they wouldn't have written nonsense, but it's difficult when political reality is viewed from above with a soy latte and a sense of self-sufficiency.
Likewise, they should have asked Zukan Helez who he is sitting with in the Council of Ministers. Then they would have been told that Košarac, Amidžić, and other SNSD cadres are there, who again listen to and implement Milorad Dodik's policies.
In the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, in both its houses, sit Dodik's obedient followers, some who call him "leader," and others "deity." So it would be a miracle if now, after Nikšić's incantation, they suddenly changed their faith and joined the social democratic community.
It is superfluous to even talk about the entity of Republika Srpska. Whatever Dodik conceives in the morning, it is on the agenda by noon, and in the Official Gazette by evening. If that is political death, then many leaders could envy his vitality.
So, Milorad Dodik is an interesting kind of dead man. So interesting that there is currently no stronger political figure with more institutional power in Bosnia and Herzegovina. And worst of all, he is absolutely aware of it, so he enjoys watching his "opponents" drown in their own amateurism.
However, unlike the notorious Nermin Nikšić, Dragan Čović sees very well, and assesses even better. And that is why he was willing to go to Dodik's doorstep in the middle of Banja Luka, to strengthen an alliance with him that will inevitably be at the expense of the state.
And the alliance with Čović allows Dodik to influence not only processes at the state and entity levels but also what happens in the Federation. In short, Dodik decides, and SDP explains to us that he is dead.
Dodik is alive, powerful, and arrogant - which cannot be said for SDP BiH, which after the shameful betrayal of all the principles it once represented, now resembles a party of political zombies. They walk, talk about the state, and dig its grave.
That is why they resort to propaganda tricks, trying to sell the story of Dodik's end, because it is easier to invent victories than to admit defeats. They know they have done nothing good for the citizens, except learn how to explain betrayal with a smile.
Citizens see that, even though SDP considers them blind. They also know that SDP agreed to the derogation of the Bosniak political position, that it came to power thanks to an international patron, and that it plays the role of decoration in power, red, but without color. And in the meantime, they feast well on tenders, at the expense of the state they are undermining.
And therefore, while Nikšić and his entourage bury Dodik in statements, reality buries them. They have already buried social democracy, now they are digging their own political monument.
Because, let's be realistic, we will witness the political funeral of SDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina before Milorad Dodik's. And when that happens, Nikšić will probably say that it is also "part of the plan."
