SDP: SNSD's announced resolution is a direct threat to peace in BiH

The Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina most sharply condemns the statement by Nebojša Radmanović, president of the SNSD Executive Board, announcing that at the party convention at the end of April, a so-called "Resolution on a Free and Independent Republika Srpska, which marks the ultimate goal of the people living in Srpska and the party's readiness to lead the people on that path" will be adopted, reports the Patria News Agency.

By potentially adopting this resolution, SNSD is consciously further complicating the already difficult situation in the country, with the sole aim of further destabilizing and destroying Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, with this act, SNSD is further opting for self-isolation, as no cooperation is possible with such parties. Bearing in mind the attempts to disrupt stability in other parts of our country, which have particularly escalated in the last month, it would not surprise us if there is also a certain synchronization of events with the aim of maintaining constant tension and fear, in order to preserve the acquired privileges and interests of certain political elites.

We also welcome the reaction of the Office of the High Representative in BiH, which has finally made it clear that such a resolution violates the foundations of the Dayton Peace Agreement and will not go unpunished, although the OHR should have reacted earlier, when SNSD deputies in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH blocked the work of this state institution by their absence, thereby consciously blocking the establishment of government at the state level.

The announced resolution is a direct threat to peace and stability in our country, and SDP BiH clearly states that it will oppose any attempt to endanger the integrity and territorial sovereignty of BiH with all available means. We also call on all other pro-Bosnian forces in society to stand together and unequivocally in the way of such politics.
