SDP will support Agić for chairperson, in return Fazlija will advise Ivo Komšić

Suljo Agić, councilor of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) of the Old Town Sarajevo Municipal Council, will be the new chairperson of the City Council of Sarajevo, the Patria News Agency has learned.

Namely, after the current chairperson Sabahudin Delalić was elected to the Sarajevo Canton Assembly in the General Elections, this position became vacant, and Agić's appointment, as Patria has learned, will also be supported by SDP councilors.

SDP councilors in the City Council will support Agić, because in return they will employ Nedžad Fazlija, who did not pass in the General Elections in 2014, as an advisor to Mayor Ivo Komšić.

This continues the "employment" of SDP cadres who suffered a debacle in the recent elections, and now the SDA, which wants to continue having its candidate for the chairperson of the City Council, will support them in this.

For now, no one is showing much interest in resolving the huge financial problems of the City of Sarajevo, and the last installment was paid in May. Also, with the adoption of amendments to the Law on Distribution of Public Revenues adopted by the FBiH Parliament, the problems of the City of Sarajevo have increased, because with this law, the City has been erased and is not recognized as a local self-government unit.

There is less and less money in the city budget, the further functioning of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in question, but advisors, whose exact number no one knows, continue to be employed in the City Administration.
