(Patria) - After MP in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS) Ramiz Salkić filed a report against Milorad Dodik, and the President of NSRS Nenad Stevandić responded to it, the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) also issued a statement.
In a press release from SDA, they emphasized that the threats made by the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (RS) Nenad Stevandić to the Vice-President of SDA Ramiz Salkić once again confirm that the RS authorities are not abandoning the chauvinistic policy that led to the persecution of non-Serb population from the territory of that Bosnian entity.
"Stevandić's nervous reaction after Salkić's announcement that, based on the conclusion of the SDA Presidency, he will file a criminal complaint against Milorad Dodik and others responsible for organizing the celebration of the unconstitutional holiday of January 9th, is only confirmation of the correctness of that procedure, but also confirmation of the criminal responsibility of the RS entity authorities for not implementing the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and for undermining the constitutional and legal order," they stated.
They also emphasized that Stevandić will end up in custody sooner or later.
"Ramiz Salkić is certainly not 'close to custody' for filing a criminal complaint, but Stevandić himself should end up there sooner or later, not only for his potential role in organizing the celebration of January 9th, but also for numerous accusations of participation in war crimes committed in the Banja Luka and Kotor Varoš areas during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina," they announced.
Finally, they also stated that there is political control over the judiciary.
"The threats to Salkić that he 'could end up like Ranko Debevec and Osman Mehmedagić' clearly confirm the existence of political control over the judiciary, provide an answer as to why Stevandić has not yet been held accountable for the accusations against him, and explain the background of the proceedings against the former director of OSA and the president of the BiH Court," concluded SDA.
As Salkić announced today at a press conference in Banja Luka, the indictment is being filed against individuals who do not respect the decisions of the BiH Constitutional Court, and he is filing it on behalf of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA).
"This criminal complaint will be forwarded to the BiH Prosecutor's Office tomorrow. As you know, the BiH Prosecutor's Office is ignoring the fact that the RS authorities, led by Dodik, do not respect the decisions of the BiH Constitutional Court and are celebrating the unconstitutional day of RS," Salkić said.
Stevandić stated that Salkić's move can be classified as war-mongering politics and that he is closer to custody than anyone else.
"Everyone in Republika Srpska has the right to express their opinion because we are a democratic society, but no one has the right to assume judicial functions and thus undermine the constitutional order," said Stevandić.
