SDA: Denying the right to contact family and lawyers is a continuation of Novalić's political persecution

(Patria) - Pressure on Fadil Novalić and the denial of his rights guaranteed by domestic laws and international conventions is further confirmation that the former federal prime minister is a victim of a fabricated political process.

The instigators and executors of Novalić's persecution resort to measures applied against political prisoners only in rigid dictatorial and authoritarian regimes, the SDA stated in a press release.

By prohibiting telephone contact with family and lawyers, without any written explanation or right to appeal, Novalić has been denied the right guaranteed by the Law on Execution of Criminal Sanctions, Detention and Other Measures of BiH, and his rights provided for by the European Prison Rules have been violated.

The content of posts on social networks in which Novalić exposes the details of the fabricated court process, and analyzes and criticizes the catastrophic consequences of the decisions of the imposed FBiH Government, are the reason for his further persecution. This is evidenced by the illegal and immoral offers from the Prison Administration to stop his public statements in exchange for privileges they offer him.

According to the general assessment, Novalić, the best federal prime minister ever, economically healed the Federation, and after his two terms, he left the budget and funds in surplus, public companies in the black, and managed to significantly increase pensions and veteran benefits.

The incompetent government, for whose imposition the fabricated process against Novalić was also used, has ruined all of this or is on the path to ruining it in less than two years. In fear of the truth that Novalić conveys through his posts, and which slowly but surely opens the eyes of an increasing number of citizens, they are now trying to silence him through illegal means, which will soon come back to haunt them, the SDA stated.
