SDA: Instead of saving BHRT, authorities reward party-affiliated FTV and Islamophobic TV HZHB

(Patria) - The decision of the FBiH Government to reward Federal Television (FTV) and Television "Herceg-Bosne" (TVHB) with 10 million KM through a rigged public tender is another in a series of abuses of budget funds, the SDA announced.

With this decision, the imposed government is using citizens' money to reward its party televisions.

"After the appointment of a new management, FTV has been transformed into the party mouthpiece of SDP and the parties of the Trojka. Konaković's announcement that the financing problems of public media services will be resolved when personnel who act as the Trojka policies demand are installed, is effectively being realized in the case of FTV.

At the same time, millions of funds from the budget will be allocated to TVHB, which consistently follows HDZ's policy. From that television, precisely on the days when Nikšić's government announces generous financial support, a message is sent that Bosniaks are an "Islamist viper in the heart of Europe" in an axis with Tehran.

While public money is being abused in this way, the Public Service BHRT is on the verge of closure. The Trojka, apart from already worn-out phrases in media appearances, offers no solution for saving BHRT.

Since they are already indebted to the Federation for 2.6 billion, and from that money they allocate millions to party televisions, they should have also resolved the acute problem of BHRT with a similar decision and prevented its closure," the SDA statement reads.
