SDA calls on SNSD and HDZ to stop obstructing the formation of government

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The SDA Main Board has not yet adopted the Draft Statute as there were new proposals, which will be incorporated into the Draft to be presented for adoption at the 7th SDA Congress on September 14, when the SDA president will also be elected.

The Main Board today adopted certain conclusions regarding the formation of government and the political situation in the country.

The SDA Main Board calls on SNSD representatives to stop obstructing the work of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.

"The failure to adopt numerous laws and documents sent to the parliamentary procedure by the Council of Ministers of BiH causes enormous damage to BiH, its citizens, the economy, and the integration processes, which have come to a standstill. We expect the candidate for the new convocation of the Council of Ministers of BiH, who comes from SNSD, to finally offer the Presidency of BiH a work program for the current mandate, which would enable the appointment of a new convocation of the Council of Ministers," the conclusions state.

The SDA Main Board called on HDZ BiH to propose a candidate for the position of President of the Federation of BiH, because only after that can the procedure for appointing a new convocation of the FBiH Government be initiated. Any delay is unnecessary and harmful, and HDZ is responsible for the consequences, according to SDA.

The SDA Main Board supports the resolution of the border demarcation issue with Serbia and Croatia, on the principles of full mutual respect for the sovereignty of states and respect for international law in this area.

The SDA Main Board supports the renewal of the initiative to adopt a Law on the Prohibition of Genocide Denial following the reactions of the OHR and the highest EU officials to the letter from 12 victim associations regarding the verdict against Radovan Karadžić.

"Constant anti-civilizational resistance from the entity of RS regarding the announcements of the adoption of this law confirms that the OHR cannot withdraw before the adoption or imposition of a series of laws, including this Law, which would ensure peace, stability, the functioning of state institutions, and the civilizational orientation of BiH. We expect a decisive reaction from the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) regarding Dodik's threats to the High Representative and the announcement of anti-Dayton procedures in connection with the adoption of this Law," states SDA.
