SDA: New Government is the result of unprecedented political pressure from actors who view USK as an afterthought

(Patria) - At today's extraordinary session of the USK Assembly, the previous and the new Government of USK were dismissed, ending a months-long saga marked by enormous pressure aimed at the removal of the Government led by SDA, headed by Prime Minister Nijaz Hušić.

New USK Government elected: Ružnić as Prime Minister, SBiH gets Assembly Speaker

(Patria) - The Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton (USK) today dismissed the USK Government led by Nijaz Hušić (SDA) and appointed a new one to be led by Mustafa Ružnić (NES). Before the new Government took the oath, Ružnić addressed the deputies, saying

"For the past almost two years, the USK Government has functioned flawlessly, fulfilling its obligations prescribed by the Constitution and laws, treating all local communities equally, respecting social partners, as well as political actors within the parliamentary majority.

However, the political configuration at higher levels of government required a reshuffling and change of government in USK, which, after several attempts since the beginning of this year, was realized today.

We are proud of the results achieved by the Government, the work and actions of our cadres led by Prime Minister Nijaz Hušić, and we are grateful to our previous partners for their cooperation and the opportunity to work in the interest of the citizens, especially those who remained consistent and kept the interests of USK at the focus of their political activities, resisting the interests of actors at higher levels of government," announced SDA USK.

The party states that, respecting all types of political processes, they will continue to actively participate in the political life of USK, now from an active opposition discourse in the USK Assembly.
